A reflection—after two years and more than 400 posts—on my son’s inadvertent artful poses.
On Feb. 10, 2019, I paused while scrolling through pictures I’d snapped on my phone of my then two-and-a-half-month-old son. His arm, which dangled just so, grabbed my attention, as it was a dead ringer for Jacques-Louis David’s “Death of Marat” (1793). I posted my discovery on Instagram, and @arthistorybaby was born.
