How art can improve your health
From painting to visiting museums, cultural engagement carries a host of physical, mental and psychological benefits for older adults
My first piece in AARP ran earlier this week as “5 Ways Art Can Improve Your Health: From painting to visiting museums, cultural engagement carries a host of physical, mental and psychological benefits for older adults.” It is another variation on my recent artnet article “Can an Artwork a Day Keep the Doctor Away?”
For AARP, I interviewed a University of Cincinnati psychology professor (who coordinates its pre-art therapy certificate program), a research fellow in epidemiology and statistics at University College London, and the research program manager of the Cleveland Clinic’s arts and medicine institute.
Here again is the link to the piece.
